Trade Targets - Buy Edition - (0.5 PPR)

As we're a month into the season, it's time to start changing our pre-draft perceptions while not completely abandoning them. If you happen to be 2-2 or better, you may be aware of what your team is lacking and recognize potential trading opportunities that could benefit both teams. While trade values are subjective, I found three players who are currently undervalued and may be avaialable for a slight discount.

Chase Brown - CIN (RB - WK 6 Bye)

Currently outside the top-12, he's been solid but underperforming relative to where most people drafted him. However, last season he also had a slow start, scoring only one touchdown until Week 8. During the prior season, he had two touchdowns after four weeks. In both seasons, he scored a total of 11 touchdowns. Some may point out that he has had fewer than 20 receiving yards in half of his games so far, but last season he had seven games like that. What I'm saying is he's still an RB1 on a good offense and has flashed as a capable receiver with 11 targets last week. With Jamarr Chase and Tee Higgins dealing with some injuries and a bye week upcoming, this is your best chance to buy "low" on him if he's on a struggling team and is one of my top trade targets.

George Pickens - DAL (WR - Wk 14 Bye)

While his teammate is currently the #2 WR in fantasy football, he's outside the top 36 and has disappointed many teams as their WR1/WR2. With less than 50 receiving yards or seven targets in half of his games, don't forget that during the second half of last season, he had three games like that despite being a top-10 WR. However, his numbers were inflated because CeeDee Lamb missed only four games, which means that Pickens can coexist with Lamb as a top-20 WR. I want to preface that last season, he scored nine touchdowns, more than he did in the two seasons prior. So touchdown regression is real, and I don't think he's a WR1 anymore, but if you can trade for him at a mid-tier WR2 price, then he's a solid bet to take on if you're 3-1 or better, as I anticipate his week-winning games to come.

Jameson Williams - DET (WR - Wk 6 Bye)

Last week, he had a good game, but he is still outside of the top-36 WRs and has failed to reach 50 yards in the first three games of the season. He also hasn't scored a touchdown yet, and his yards per target are the lowest of the past two seasons. However, his boom-or-bust nature is well known; last season, he scored only two touchdowns during the first seven games before the bye week, and he had less than 50 yards in five of those games. He finished the season with over 1,100 yards and seven touchdowns, reaching 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns in consecutive seasons. While I wouldn't target him as my weekly WR1/2, he's one of my favorite flex options, and if I can pay a flex price, his upside will win me a few weeks.
